ANALOGICA is celebrating its thirteenth edition and returns to the spaces of Waag and Foto Forum in Bolzano for a new event dedicated to experimental cinema and family film archives. It is precisely the family archives in Super 8 format that help recover a story of love and resistance that would otherwise have been lost. And speaking of 16mm, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, it is the format we have chosen for the new Analogica workshop, curated by Ieva Balode, a filmmaker and representative of the independent Baltic Analog Lab, to whom we dedicate a special screening.
A two-day creative 16mm film workshop together with Latvian filmmaker and head of Riga’s film lab Baltic Analog Lab – Ieva Balode will be teaching the art of 16mm black and white filmmaking in an experimental way using shooting as well as cameraless animation techniques.
