The mass skiing industry has always been linked to the romantic image of snow and the appeal of Alpine landscapes. However, in recent decades, climate change and decreasing precipitation have posed significant challenges to the delicate balance between economic prosperity and environmental conservation. How does human infrastructure alter the nature of a place? During the workshop, with the support of photographs, illustrations and drawings, through which we will explore the past and present state of the commercialisation of the mountain environment, we will try to imagine the future of an inclusive and alternative mountain environment.
