La ricerca parte dall´analisi della città di Venezia e del suo territorio, si é cercato di analizzare il paesaggio quotidiano per indagare il legame tra il luogo e l´identitá, cercando di escludere gli stereotipi e i luoghi comuni che una città come Venezia inevitabilmente offre. Si é mappato il territorio lagunare con le sue isole (Burano, Lido, San Erasmo, San Francesco del deserto, Pellestrina) attraverso le strade, le piazze alla ricerca di segni,icone urbane, paesaggi e persone. Attraverso una “minoranza dello sguardo” che va a soffermarsi sulle piccole cose, su oggetti minimali e marginali; La metodologia di lavoro é stata casuale, favorendo un incontro con la realtá del luogo attraverso oggetti,persone e manufatti.


5 sessions for 2 hours to get more in touch with photography

From the history of photography, to understanding the camera’s mechanisms, to timings and aperture, to framing and the rules of composition. We will talk about this to bring the students to being more conscious when looking at images. We will spend a lot of time discussing iconic photographic images. How do we take in this almost infinite universe of work? Through examples and exercises, we will gain the technical skills and practices to get closer to photography.

Claudia Corrent is a freelance photographer. She loves cats and the sea. But she doesn’t know which one she prefers more between the two.
She graduated with a Philosophy degree and did her thesis in aesthetics on the relationship between philosophy and landscape photography. She has been published in Repubblica, Der Spiegel, Courrier International, Die Zeit, Domus, Donna moderna, Touring club .
In 2019, she won the first artist prize of the Autonomous Province of Bozen, the Riaperture prize, the Capalbiofotofestival, and in 2018 she won the “Debut” contest in Vilnius, Lithuania and was one of the finalists for the Fabbri prize.
She exhibited solo and collective shows in New York, San Francisco, Milan, Rome, and Venice. She organizes didactic laboratories in museums, festivals and institutions (Mart, Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation, Festival of the mind)
Her research focuses on archives, family memory, landscapes and the concept Mindscapes.
She is represented by the LUZ agency.
