Camp: Photography Summer Camp for Kids 2026

Three weeks of workshops dedicated to the world of images, photography, and visual storytelling. Children will explore light, shapes, and materials through creative, experimental, and playful techniques. Inspired by the work of great artists, they will discover that images can emerge from light, hands, the body, and imagination. Alongside the workshops, there will be moments of play and exploration: photographic scavenger hunts, visual walks, and small observation missions to train the eye and learn how to notice hidden details in the surrounding world.
The final day will conclude with a small photographic exhibition — a shared moment to reflect on what we have seen, experimented with, and imagined together.

1. Monday – Building a City of Light

Get ready to build a city of light! Children will use the magic of cyanotype printing to create houses, towers, and boats printed with sunlight. Through folding, shaping, and deep blue images, a fantastic paper city will come to life.

2. Tuesday – Small Xerographic Posters

Today we play with the photocopier, just like Bruno Munari did, to create surprising images. Using transparent objects, negatives, and different materials, we will print, cut, and combine images, experimenting with layering, color, and composition.

3. Wednesday – Photo-Sculpture

Starting from photographs taken in the garden, we will transform images into objects and small sculptures. We will fold, crumple, and combine them with natural materials. The photographs will change shape and size.

4. Thursday – Directing!

Children will create a small collective film using photographs and videos shot in the garden. Using a smartphone, they will organize still and moving images, experimenting with light and visual composition. Natural elements, objects, and shadows will become the protagonists of a visual story enriched with words and short texts, inspired by experimental cinema.

5. Friday – Messing with Photos!

Today we play with photographs to transform them into new images. Using colors, brushes, and small tools, we will paint, engrave, and scratch the prints, discovering how gesture and material can change a photograph. Each image will become a unique, one-of-a-kind piece.
