Three weeks full of workshops dedicated to different visual languages.
Children explore the fascinating world of images, photography, and video, learning to tell stories through fun and innovative artistic techniques. Every day, they draw inspiration from great artists and immerse themselves in activities such as cyanotype printing, camera-less photography, creating original portraits, and analog collages. Using their phones and natural elements, they create unique images and stories, transforming into little photographers and directors—with the opportunity to craft and take home their own works. Each workshop is a journey through visual art, where every snapshot, every color, and every movement comes to life, transforming into small artworks meant to be shared and treasured.

MONDAY: THE MAGICAL HERBARIUM OR THE BLUE HERB

Today, we dive into the world of cyanotype printing! The children become true alchemists of nature, creating their own photographic herbarium—just like Anna Atkins. Using sunlight, flowers, and leaves, they craft a leporello of blue-tinted images where nature and light blend into unique works of art.

TUESDAY: ARTISTIC PORTRAITS WITH A TOUCH OF NAIVETY

Let’s create crazy portraits—just like David Hockney! The children experiment with unusual perspectives and colors to design unique portraits that look like paintings.

WEDNESDAY: FANTASTIC COLLAGES AND WHERE TO FIND THEM

Today, the children become real digital collage artists! Inspired by Hannah Höch, they combine photos, colors, and images to create imaginative, creative artworks full of curious and fun compositions.

THURSDAY: BEAMS OF LIGHT AND TRACES OF WIND

Get ready to play with light! The children learn the techniques of chemigrams and rayograms, creating photographs without a camera—just with natural objects and a little magic. Each snapshot will be a small magical masterpiece!

FRIDAY: MOVING IMAGES, AND REALLY IN MOTION

The last day is dedicated to filmmaking! The children collaborate to shoot a small joint film in which the natural elements of the garden tell a story. Using their phones, they merge photos and videos! Inspired by Stan Brakhage, they explore light, movement, and natural objects as main characters, creating unique, abstract scenes that tell a story without words.
